Growing up in the country, Arlene’s love for art began at a young age, sketching wildlife scenes and admiring the beauty of landscapes. She was born near Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, and began painting in the early 90’s, first experimenting with acrylics, but preferring oils because of better control and a truer color.
