Don Gates is a Nova Scotia artist showing great talent with burning pens and other mediums. In the late 70's Don became involved with purebred dogs, exhibiting in obedience and teaching classes. He discovered the expression shown in a dog's eyes and was inspired by each dog's individuality and personality. He has been able to capture the soul of an animal through its eyes. Don is a self taught artist, a member of the Nova Scotia Wildlife Carvers and Artist Association. We are pleased to present a view of his pieces here - some are available for sale. Don will accept commissioned work at his discretion from time to time.
